Doodles are the fun, surprising, and sometimes spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo to celebrate holidays, anniversaries, and the lives of famous artists, pioneers, and scientists.  Each year Google has a contest.  

Young artists coast to coast doodled their inventions to make the world a better place. Doodle 4 Google guest judges have chosen the 50 state winners. Now it's your turn to vote!
The winner's doodle will appear on the Google.com homepage and he or she will receive a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 Google for Education technology grant for his or her school.

Animoto

Animoto allows users to create multimedia slideshows using text, images, music, and/or short (10-second) video clips.  Users can use text slides to compliment images or video to create the digital narrative. Any sound on a video clip can also be brought in to the Animoto.

Create a free 30 second video at Animoto.  Use pictures from your computer or other Social Media websites.  Summarize Animoto in a blog post. Include your finished video as well.

StoryJumper

Go2web20 is one of the biggest webtools directories.  They built this application to enable people to stay up to date with all the new & hot services that are born daily into the web. In many cases, Go2web20 has been the first to report the existence of a new applications.

Go2web20 includes over 3,000 services and more are uploaded everyday. They also disable services that are no longer working and by doing this they ensure a more useful and enjoyable experience when performing a search.

I will introduce you to Firefox Add-ons and personas! Then you will explore on your own.

A Firefox add-on that I have installed is Google Shortcuts.  You can see to the right how quickly I can get to the Google products.

Choose from thousands of extra features and styles for Firefox.

Customize your Firefox  to enhance your online shopping, music, bookmarking and much more.

There are several Firefox extension categories - see photo on right.

Have fun!  There are so many neat add on's to make your web experience more enjoyable and easier!!!

Firefox Personas

Firefox personas is a way to personalize your firefox browser. It also makes your browser look more visually appealing versus just the plain default gray. There are many "skins" available to choose from. There is a search bar in the top right of the main screen to find specific designs you like. There is also many categories to choose from if you don't know something to specifically search. Your firefox needs to be updated with the correct software, but on the main screen of the website they provide a link to download it if you don't already have it.

Zamzar  Have you ever wanted to convert a file? Have you ever wanted to save a document as a .pdf or make changes on .pdf documents? This online tool allows you to convert files to different formats, including conversion of .pdf files to Word documents and Word to .pdfs. You can also convert music, video, and photo files to different formats of your choice. This is a VERY useful tool. Select the file to import, the change to be made, and receive a file in the new format at your email address after registration. The documents are editable after conversion. Images will not be as "editable" as text. The text comes in within a text box, but can be edited.

Gickr.com lets you instantly create animated GIF online slide shows.  Just upload pictures or get them from your Flickr account.  Create funny flashy slideshows with you and your friends, cartoons, previews, banners, etc.  Post them anywhere you can post picures:  Facebook or your blog/website.

4.  Explain the pictures you created, what did you do to it?  It may be neat if you share the original pictures as well.
